The RiverWoods Company is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation that owns and operates three vibrant, self-contained, life care communities with easy access to all the charms of New Hampshire and New England. Conceived by a grassroots group of seacoast area residents, RiverWoods opened in 1994 and remains true to its founders' original inspiration - that growing older should enhance, not diminish, the opportunity for a productive and rewarding life. Here, you can enjoy life to the fullest in an inspiring setting with people who share your interests and way of thinking.

RiverWoods was chosen one of  New Hampshire’s Best Large Companies to Work For, in December of 2009 by Business New Hampshire magazine, because of it’s culture of caring that extends to residents, staff and the greater community.  RiverWoods has also been recognized by the American Heart Association as a “Fit Friendly” company for employees, three years in a row.  The 16 year old organization became a smoke-free campus as of January, 2009.  Employees are offered benefits such as free access to a nurse practioner on site, free participation in fitness classes, discounted employees meals, monthly employee lunches with the CEO and more.
